40% more companies send invoices electronically than last year

Radical changes in work organization over the past year have prompted companies to transition to digital invoice circulation more quickly. Currently, 62% of Latvian companies use some form of electronic invoice solution.
«Looking back at data obtained in previous years, it is evident that interest in electronic invoice exchange continues to grow. Last summer, 38.5% of Latvian companies prepared and sent invoices in digital form, but with the introduction of forced remote work, the proportion of users of digital solutions has increased by almost 40%. Interest is also growing in the most advanced form of automatically prepared invoices – e-invoices. It should be emphasized that entrepreneurs are increasingly understanding and appreciating the advantages,» comments Viesturs Slaidiņš, head of Jumis Pro, on the results.
«The introduction of remote work has helped many companies appreciate the benefits of using e-invoices. Firstly, it eases the daily workload of accountants, reducing employee strain. Secondly, it significantly reduces expenses related to invoice processing, printing, and sending to recipients. Another important benefit is the considerably lower risk of human errors, as the amount of manual work decreases. Considering climate change and sustainability, it should be noted that e-invoices reduce the amount of paper used and the need for transportation. The larger the company that uses e-invoices, the greater the benefit from implementing the system,
