The Jumis Self-Service Portal (formerly the Employee Portal) now features a new capability: digital submission and approval of leave and other absences.

Employees can now submit absence requests to their manager, specifying the period, type, and any necessary notes. When creating a request, the employee must select the manager to whom it is addressed. The manager will receive an email notification and will also see the request in the "Employee Requests" section of the Self-Service Portal.

To enable employees to select the appropriate manager, a list of all company managers (heads of departments or units) must be entered into the Jumis Management system. This can be done by assigning the "Manager" role to existing Self-Service Portal users or by creating new users with this role.

Managers have the authority to approve or reject submitted requests. Once a request is approved, it is recorded in the Jumis HR system as a new event in the employee's history. The accountant and any Jumis HR users with access to the employee history section will be notified of this update.

This functionality—the digital submission and approval of leave and other absences—is available exclusively to Jumis HR Plus subscribers.
