More enjoyable and better value – products with added value

A product with added value. Everyone has likely heard this phrase. For some, it brings to mind value-added tax, while for others, it is the reason to choose one specific product or service over another. In today's oversaturated market, it is truly difficult to imagine a good, memorable product offered without any added value. We do not just buy bread; we buy the healthiest bread, rich in fiber and vitamins. We buy a smartphone with the best camera. And we buy a mattress that cradles us like a soft cloud. If this added value did not exist, our selection criteria would likely be entirely different, and we might never even learn about many useful things.
The responsible care for the client
Computer programs cannot be seasoned with a pinch of spice or given a captivating aroma. However, they can be made more appealing to potential clients through various additional services. This is especially necessary when there are many similar products on the market. And that is exactly what IT companies do. Some offer a second program as a gift to buyers, provide unique product customization options, organize training, and so on. Although it may seem that this is done with one goal—to sell as much as possible—in reality, added value says much more about a brand. If a company is willing to dedicate its time and additional resources to clients, it means it will not be indifferent when the client needs technical support for the purchased software or advice on how to use a digital tool more effectively.
If a brand does not care about the added value of its product, it likely means that once the purchase is made, the cooperation and communication end. From then on, everyone is left to fend for themselves.
Education as a value
Accounting and business management systems Jumis users are well aware of our added value. It consists of regular training, an always-available customer support service, and the very rapid implementation of new legislative requirements into the program.
Since 2004, we have been organizing "Accountant Afternoons," where we gather several hundred accounting professionals to discuss new opportunities and industry trends. Since Jumis was created, we have hosted 60 such events, and we were among the first to offer the option to attend not only in person but also to join remotely. This began as early as 2011, and since then, 28 Accountant Afternoons have been available to watch online. In 2010, we also began organizing e-seminars on Jumis latest features, tax changes, and other current topics. The number of live seminars held has now reached 56, and there will be more, as we host at least 4 webinars every year.
We have not only invited accountants to join us but have also visited our clients ourselves. From 2006 to 2009, we held 16 regional outreach seminars in various locations across Latvia. Jumis users have been able to gain knowledge at the large "Smart Accountant" conference, the outdoor event "Golden Jumis," and two conferences for business executives. The total number of events held has now approached one hundred and fifty – 136.
Jumis events attract a very large number of attendees. On average, about 350 people attended the Accountant Afternoons in person, while the highest number of participants at a single event exceeded 1,100.
For work and leisure
Our seminars feature lecturers recognized among accountants, such as sworn auditors Sandra Dzerele, Ieva Liepiņa, and Nelda Janoviča; certified tax consultants Ilze Birzniece and Dana Muceniece; LRGA board members and recognized industry specialists Ilze Palmbaha-Zvirbule and Lilita Beķere; lawyer Kaspars Rācenājs; HR specialist Ieva Kalve; employees of the State Revenue Service and the Ministry of Finance; as well as other professionals in their fields.
In other words, we strive to provide our clients with all the information necessary to succeed in today's rapidly changing business environment. Jumis users receive the Accountant's Calendar every year, featuring carefully curated value-added content. Sometimes these are puzzles, other times exercises for the eyes and hands, or coloring and drawing pages for relaxation. We are never shy about reminding our clients that there is more to life than work. That is why, in 2019, we organized a highly popular contest focused on the hobbies of accountants.
Client feedback and behavior suggest that they value the added benefits of our products and select accounting software based on a variety of criteria. A survey conducted last autumn revealed that even small businesses are no longer focused solely on the lowest price. Costs are now the primary decision-making factor for only 26% of respondents.
